Feeling trapped or stuck was one of Radiah Rhodes’ worst experiences, but it allowed her to find courage with the opportunity of freedom. In today’s world where everyone is popping up as a new entrepreneur and with a new idea seemingly every day, talking about dreams can start to feel routine. However, in talking to Radiah we are reminded of how our dreams should make us feel alive; our dreams should be our oxygen.
And that is not something light! Do you know how important oxygen is to your life? Are you treating your dreams as important you know oxygen is?
After two decades of experience leading in small businesses and Fortune 100 companies in the beauty and information technology industries, Radiah became known for her strategic insights, impeccable design aesthetic, and natural ability to connect, lead, and get results. She has led and coached many executives and organizations to deliver exceptional business results and launched a strong portfolio of multi-million-dollar products and services around the globe.
As a visionary, entrepreneur, designer, engineer, and coach with products and programs ranging from transformational workshops, to books, to juice, it is clear that Radiah is not taking her dreams lightly.
With so many dreams under her belt, Radiah explains how her partnering, design, and strategy are the skills at the foundation of everything she does. Radiah says, “I am clear my dreams are bigger than me alone and I am very focused and purposeful about identifying what can create massive shifts and impact in a given context. For sure, my work would not be as substantive or unique if it weren’t for my engineering brain and the people and partnerships I have in my life and work”.
The conversation of dream pursuit should not be absent from conversations surrounding who are you partnering with to reach your dreams. Partnering may not always come in a concrete business partner relationship, but it can mean deciding who you are partnering with on certain projects and tasks to get things done. Trust, you cannot get everything done on your own. We have to be clear like Radiah in knowing that our reams are bigger than us. At least they should be! And, even with traditional business partners, you will need to connect with others with more expertise than you have or with more time than you have to give.
Oh, you thought you could do it on your own? Or you feel like there is no one to partner with on your “too big dreams”? Well, Radiah reminds us that “there is always a way through, out, and up from wherever you are at a present. Your life is created by you, it is literally, scientifically what you say it is, so say something incredible”.
Take a close look at who you desire to partner or connect with. Radiah talks about how she looks up to women in her network who are innately bold; not necessarily loud, but stealth. They are so grounded in who they are and what they envision, they embody it. They know what they dream is real and they move in that power”. #NetworkGoals
So dreamers, instead of saying how your possible partnerships are lacking, engage in positive self-talk that you can and will find someone to help you propel your dreams. And, while you are engaged in this positive self-talk, seek out other dreamers and other entrepreneur groups either online or in your city. Trust us, they are there! It just might take some time in finding the right fit for you. You will not connect with every entrepreneur, and that is ok.
And even with positive self-talk, Radiah reminds us how her only obstacle has been herself. Whether that amounts to her getting impatient, feeling discouraged, and questioning or second guessing her vision. She describes how this leads to “…busyness that usually undermines her progress…”. For Radiah, overcoming her feelings of doubt can be day to day. So, she has to be aware, and she has to practice what she preaches. In fact, one of her businesses teaches a systematic process of being aware and powerful in the face of these obstacles!
Radiah leaves us with the quote, “The cosmos is within us. We are made of star stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself. – Carl Sagan”.
Whether it’s personal expansion programs, business launches, or products on the shelves of Target and Walmart, Radiah helps us find the cosmos within us. Her expertise can be seen, touched, and felt in the client experience and results.
